Our Church Covenant

While our church Statement of Faith is a good summary of what we believe together, our Church Covenant (below) is an outline of how we agree to live together as a committed community. Although it does not include every Biblical command, it’s a helpful reminder of what it means for us to live together as disciples of Christ.

Our Church Covenant

Having been graciously led by the Spirit of God to repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we do now, in the presence of God and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another as one body in Christ.

We commit, therefore, by the aid of the Holy Spirit, to walk together in Christian love; to work and pray for the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace; to not forsake the assembling of ourselves together; to strive for the advancement of this church and its stated mission; to sustain its worship, sacraments, discipline and statement of faith; to contribute cheerfully and regularly to the support of its ministries, the expenses of the church, the relief of the poor, and the spreading of the gospel to all peoples; to live holy and Godly lives in this age, encouraging one another to love and good deeds; to seek the salvation of our family members and acquaintances; to maintain family and private devotions; to educate our children in the Christian faith; to remember each other in prayer and to aid each other in sickness and distress; to cultivate Christian fellowship; and, if we should move from this church, to unite with some other church where we can continue in the spirit of this covenant.

May the Grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all.  Amen.
